Now contrary to many people's beliefs, paper mario color splash isn't "the worst game ever" or "this game sucks because it's too similar to sticker star" i say bah! at least give it a try before you critique it. i mean i haven't even fought the first boss yet and there is already tons of content to go through.
yeah, interesting fact, splatoon was originally going to be a mario spin-off title, but i guess they scrapped that and pasted it to paper mario as the spin-off.
and color splash has been mentioned to be like splatoon way too many times to count (yet i have seen no art for this)
yet dispite their main goal (to paint everything) they're quite different.
the goal of splatoon is to "save the great zapfish from the octarians (in which the game makes us believe that they're evil, but they're not it's really their leader which is corrupted) and once that is done, they can resume their daily routines of turf wars and ranked battles.
the goal of paper mario color splash is to restore color to a world drained of color.
so yeah, color splash may be "Sticker Star 2" but at least it fixed sticker stars flawed battle system dispite adding another battle gimmick. though there is one major design flaw in the game's battle system, and that is only one word, Kamek. and at least they're attempting to make paper mario great again, even if it's one step at a time. the story has some memorable characters dispite being mostly toads, heck even some toads are cool in this game. also there are some pretty quirky and strange minibosses in this game (
3D steak fight, where you cook the steak to beat it)
also i like when you idle enemies in battle will mutter statements from time to time where it's to taunt the player or just saying something random, but that little detail adds charm to the battle. also i like the randomness of the thing cards

so before you go saying "THIS GAME SUCKS!", at least give it a try first before saying it.
